We could have taken mass-produced shorts — the ones so light they float with every breeze, and once wet, cling to the skin, losing all structure, all elegance, all modesty.
We could have skipped the water-repellent finish, let the fabric turn see-through, and cut it mid-thigh. We could even add built-in leggings and sell it for €30, just to call it “modest.”
